It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alene Mae Gilbert (Allen, Texas), born in Mount Pleasant, Texas, who passed away on October 12, 2018, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband John R. Gilbert (Jack); and her siblings, Melvin Tate, Marvin Tate and Charlene Tate. She is survived by: her parents, Charlie Tate and Nellie Tate; her children, John Gilbert of Arlington and Lori Shortes (Tony) of Celina; her grandchildren, Jack Hayden and Sayde Shortes; her sister-in-law Billie Gilbert of Arlington, TX; her sibling Mike; and her niece Darlene Dennis (Mike) of Greensboro. She is also survived by nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
