She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Nathan Ferrell and Mel Robertson Ferrell; her husband Van; her daughter Georgia Anne Donald; and her granddaughter Sarah Elizabeth Donald.
She is survived by: her children, John Van Hilliard, III (Donna), Ellen Jean Jackson (Doug) and Susan Fay Westfall (Truman); her son-in-law Steven Donald; her grandchildren, James Van Hilliard (Sarah), Jeffrey Hilliard (Kate), Paul Jackson (Jaime), Nancy Jean George (Seth), Connie Dee Westfall, Colleen Westfall, Steven Donald, Jr. (Amy), Nathan Donald (Kristin), Preston Donald (Jennifer), Leslie Hope Thier (Randall) and Rachel Nicole Karm (Brandon); her great grandchildren, Jillian, Abigail Hilliard, Maggie, Van Jackson, Hunter, Tanner George, Mathis, Ryder Donald, Kaylynn, Landon Psencik, Jaxon Engleman, Lee Van, Emma, Eli, Leila Donald, Trace, Carter Thier, Elizabeth and Noah Karm; and her grandson James Hilliard.
In lieu of flowers, Jean asked that donations be made to the Scholarship Fund at First Baptist Church, Alice, Tx.
