It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lydia G. Perez (Alice, Texas), who passed away on March 7, 2023, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Garza and Matilde Gelista-Garza; and her siblings, Mary Lou Cano, Manuel Garza, Jr. and Eusebio "Shorty" Guerrero (Genaro Perez).
She is survived by: her sister Janie Mercer (Richard); her daughters, Venessa Perez, Rachel Perez (Manuel Rodriguez) and Amelia G. Loera (Sam Acuna); her grandchildren, Gabriel Garcia and Matilda Lou Perez; and her close friend Johnny Loera. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
