He was predeceased by: his parents, Eduardo, Sr. Gamez and Guadalupe Castaneda Gamez; his son Jose Omar Gamez; and his siblings, Arturo, Tomas, Juan, Federico Gamez, Clara Perez, Olga Gamez, Maria Gamez, Paula Zapata and Elvira Cavazos.
He is survived by: his children, Eduardo Gamez, III (Raquel), Hilda Lopez (Humberto) and Luz Maria Paiz (Erasmo). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
