With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Edith Louise Burris of Alice, Texas, who passed away on August 9, 2024 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Edith shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Edith farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma Goldapp and Otto Goldapp; her husband John; and her grandson Coleman Burris. She is survived by: her children, John Howard Burris, Jr. (Cecelia), Elaine Burris Darby (John) and Travis Holland Burris (Katy). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
