He was predeceased by: his parents, David Vanzant and Dorothy Vanzant (Gray); and his brother David "Bud" Vanzant. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Vanzant; his children, Scott Vanzant (Kim) of Montgomery, Texas, Laura Robinson (Kevin) of League City and Emily Dorsett (Vanzant) of Algoa; his sisters, Judy Gunn and Joy Powell of Florida; his grandchildren, Kyle Kadlecek (Victoria), Payton Smith (Chris), Jacob Robinson, Zachary Robinson, Luke Robinson, Robbie Vanzant and Madison Vanzant; and his great grandchildren, Rhett Smith and Mesa Smith. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
