He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Anthony and Verna Marie Gaspard (Defore); his wife Loretta Gaspard (Nelson); and his siblings, Nick Gaspard, Edward Gaspard, Theresa Evans, Ellen Henne and Betty Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Edwin J. Gaspard, Jr. (Carolyn) of Santa Fe, Ricky Laine Gaspard (Jill Ann) of Kemah, Sharon Lynn Watson (Kenneth Wayne) of Santa Fe and Cynthia Gaspard (Randy Chapman) of Texas City; and his siblings, Roy Gaspard (Patsy) of Texas City and Kay Loveless of Kenner, LA. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
