He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Audrey Usrey and Dewey Usrey; his wife Mary Foster; and his children, Diane Elizabeth Salo, Debra Jane Haynie of Aledo, TX, David Alan Usrey and Debby Haynie (Mike Haynie). He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
He worked at the Dallas Life Foundation's medical clinic for the homeless, a clinic which he helped establish.
