He was predeceased by: his parents, William Taft Sr. and Doris Mae Bell Hass; his wife Mary Hass; and his granddaughter Nicole Keller. He is survived by: the mothers of children, Jayna Fountain (Bruce) of Alba and Leanna Burge (Ronnie) of Alba; his pet Dakota; his stepchildren, Carl Durbin of Effingham, Illinois, Nancy West of Mauk, Georgia and Terry Keller of Effingham, Illinois; his siblings, Preston "Sonny" Hass (Linda) of Alba and Patsy Pennebaker of Emory; and his grandchildren, Kayla Walton, David Burge, Donnie Burge, Amanda West and Ashley Aiken. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
