He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Gertrudes Pena of Alamo; his children, Gilberto Pena (Beatriz) of Mission, Patricio Pena of Watertown, SD., Domingo Pena (Cristy) of Riverton, WY, Ernesto Pena of Alamo, Rosendo Pena, Jr. of Alamo, Maria Victoria Garcia (Jaime) of Alamo, Maria Del Rosario Pena of Alamo, Maria Isabel Arredondo (Jose Luis) of Alamo and Carmen Julia Zepeda (Agapito) of Weslaco; and his sister Enriqueta Leal of Galveston. He was also cherished by 27 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
