It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rene Santillana Sr. of Alamo, Texas, born in Danville, Illinois, who passed away on June 30, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Santillana and Francisca Santillana. He is survived by: his wife Yolanda Santillana of Alamo; his sons, Rene Santillana Jr. of Alamo, Albert Santillana of Alamo and Daniel Santillana of Alamo; his grandchildren, Rene Santillana III, Justin I. Santillana and Angel Santillana; and his siblings, Guadalupe Santillana Jr. (Sandra) of Edinburg, Ruben Santillana (Maria) of Alamo, Linda Santillana-Medrano (Gerardo) of Alamo, Vidal Santillana (Krystal) of Minnesota and Jose Santillana of Pharr. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
