He was predeceased by: his parents, Pablo Escobedo and Martina Sanchez; and his sisters, Francisca E. Gonzalez, Maria E. Rubalcaba and Sara Escobedo.

He is survived by: his wife Eva F. Escobedo; his children, Carmen Escobedo (Wilfredo Garza), Elva E. Murphy (Charles), San Juanita Escobedo, Felipe Jr., Antonio, Miguel, Carlos, Hector (Aura), Eduardo (Sarae) and Rodolfo (Debra); and his sister Norberta E. Palacios. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
