He was predeceased by: his son Rene A. Cuevas; and his parents, Matias Cuevas and Cristina Cuevas. He is survived by: his wife Guadalupe A. Cuevas of Alamo; his children, Raul A. Cuevas (Victoria Lynn Apala) of Davenport, IA, Carmen A. Cuevas, David Alcantar Cuevas of Denver, CO, Ray Cuevas of Edinburg, Jackie Valdez (George Paul) of Edinburg and Olivia A. Cuevas-Monden of Glendale, AZ; and his siblings, Librado Cuevas of Port Clinton, Ohio, Roque Cuevas (Maria Lilia) of Port Clinton, Ohio and Alicia Arizzola. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
