She was predeceased by: her parents, Felipe Garza and Mateana Cantu Garza; her husband Roberto Rivera; her son Raul Rivera; and her grandsons, Rene Rivera and Edward Chapa.

She is survived by: her children, Elida Crosby, Yolanda Herrera, Elizabeth Garza (Adalberto), Roberto Rivera Jr (Noemi), Rogelio G. Rivera (Lois), Ramiro G. Rivera, Alicia Herrera (Felix), Nellie Rivera and Ricardo Rivera (Clariza). She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, and 4 Great great Grandchildren.
