He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Jesusa Villarreal; and his parents, Antenojes Villarreal and Antonia Villarreal. He is survived by: his children, Gregorio Macias (Domitila), Francisca Villarreal (Rodrigo), Juanita Ibarra (Manuel), Ines Silva (Ruben), Maria Antonia Villarreal, Candelario Villarreal, Jr. (Esther), Miguel Angel Villarreal, Corina Salas (Nick) and Maricela Yañez (Juan Carlos); and his sisters-in-law, Emma Medina and Graciela Villarreal. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
