She was predeceased by: her parents, Merced Castillo and Pilar Ybarra Castillo; her husband Jesus G. Soto; and her son Raul Soto. She is survived by: her children, Jesus C. Soto (Belinda), Rosa Maria Soto, Maricela Martinez (Jorge) and Diana Soto (Rita); her daughter-in-law Eva Soto; and her siblings, Erasmo Castillo, Ramiro Castillo, Tomasita Garcia, Carolina DeLuna and Katherine Villarreal (David). She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, and nephews.
