We are sad to announce that on October 5, 2019, at the age of 60, Michael Hempel (Adkins, Texas), born in San Antonio, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ervin "Bob" Hempel and Kathleen Hempel (Schulte); his wife Merlie Hempel (Pollok); his sons, Joshua Hempel (Michelle) and Jacob Hempel (Danielle McNeese); and his sisters, Shirley Friesenhahn (Elroy) and Beverly Downs.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Michael's name to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org.
