He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijah Douglas and Beatrize Douglas (Gant); and his daughters, Carla Douglas and Sheila Douglas. He is survived by: his wife Billie R. Douglas; his stepchildren, Dexter Douglas, Sherion Smith, Michael Broadus, Geanice Robinson, Derrick Francis and James Francis; and also, Flossie, Madeline and Priscilla. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
