He is survived by: his wife Marie Cobb; his children, Carolyn Dowd of Euless, TX, Janice Mosier (Gary) of Broken Arrow, OK, Teresa Carpenter (Doug) of New Palestine, IN and Carl David Fields (Mary) of Farmers Branch, TX; his brother Allen Wayne Fields of Springville, IN.; and his grandchildren, Brian Dowd, Lisa Ivey, Jennifer Hendrix, Gary Mosier II, Tim Dowd, Amy Emerson, Stacey Carpenter, Dani Agre and Connor Fields. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
