He is survived by: his wife Glenda of Ackerly; his son Kelley of Lubbock; his brother Dan Shortes (Lilly); his nephew Russ Shortes of Round Rock; his niece Danae Shortes of Lubbock; his daughter Gayla Hogg of Lamesa; and his grandchildren, Michael Simonton of Denver, Stephen Smith of Whitney, TX, Sasha Smith and Shayla Hogg of Lubbock. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
