It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Suzanne Carter of Abilene, Texas, born in Vallejo, California, who passed away on February 22, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid Suzanne farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Suzanne is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Wendell McCrary and Ima McCrary; and her siblings, Audrey Faye McCrary Park and Calvin McCrary. She is survived by: her husband David L. Carter; her sister Diana McCrary Gardner; and her brother-in-law Lee Gardner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Elmwood Memorial Park (5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the American Kidney Fund, the National Kidney Foundation, or the George F. Carter Endowed Scholarship at Abilene Christian University.
