He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Sayas, Sr. and Carmen Hernandez; his wife Teresa Dean Sayas; his son Michael Gascoyne; and his siblings, Tony Sayas and Connie Willingham.
He is survived by: his children, Jerry Sayas (Brandy), Lori Staggs (Tommy) and Shelly Vasquez (Sam). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Piersall Funeral Directors (733 Butternut St, Abilene, TX 79602). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Beltway Park Church – South Campus (4009 Beltway S, Abilene, TX 79606). A burial was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery (7457 W Lake Rd, Abilene, TX 79601).
