He was predeceased by: his parents, James Henderson and Victoria Mayes Strain; his siblings, James Strain and Doris Strain Lloyd; and his son Craig K. Strain.
He is survived by: his daughter Cheryl Strain Schroeder (Bobby); his grandchildren, Leigh, Kayla and Nikki; his great grandchild Stacia Strain Richards (Randy); and also, Joshua and Jacob. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
