He was predeceased by: his parents, Herlinda A. Tijerina Sheene and Gustavo D. Tijerina; his brothers, Alejandro A. Tijerina (Alex), Gustavo A. Tijerina and Cuahutemoc A. Tijerina; and his granddaughter Guadalupe Jeanette Tijerina.
He is survived by: his wife Carmen Tijerina; his children, Roberto Tijerina Jr. "Tito" (Leticia) of Odessa, Yvonne Tijerina (Eduardo) of Odessa and Sarah Lee Tijerina (Miguel) of Abilene, Texas.; his stepsons, Ernesto Martinez Jr. (Sandy) of Abilene, TX and Robert Martinez of Abilene, TX; and his siblings, Johnny Tijerina of Abilene, George Tijerina of Odessa, Gracie Guerrero of Lubbock, Macaria Tijerina Morales of Abilene and Angelita T. Reyes of Abilene.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the North's Funeral Home (242 Orange St, Abilene, TX 79604). A rosary was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church (2525 Westview Dr, Abilene, TX 79603). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Abilene City Cemetery (1133 Cottonwood St, Abilene, TX 79604).
