He was predeceased by: his sister LeaAnne Higgins Harkleroad. He is survived by: his wife Melissa Massey Higgins (Lisa); his children, Sarah LoRee Higgins of Abilene, Christopher Michael Higgins (Katie) of Michigan and William Kirtly Higgins of Arkansas; his stepdaughters, Britteny Ashton (Waylon), Kristin Gwinn (Justin), Bryhana Ashton (Tyler) of Abilene and Kaily Brooks (Ryan) of Wichita Falls; and his sisters, Denease Higgins Burnett (David) of Colorado and Suzette M Thomas of Texas. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 9 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Piersall Funeral Directors (733 Butternut St, Abilene, TX 79602). A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Veterans Cemetery (7457 W Lake Rd, Abilene, TX 79601).
