It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert H. Cotman of Abilene, Texas, born in Charles City, Virginia, who passed away on November 8, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cotman and Pauline Hayes Cotman (Helen Cotman); and his stepbrother Tom. He is survived by: his wife Elberta Cork Cotman; his daughters, Toni J Cotman of Detroit, Min, Sheryl (Marvin Shelley) of Glendale, AZ. and Cynthia (Eric); his stepson Dekendrick (Debra); his grandchildren, Daron, Daryl, Dana, Tia Hardin, Alexandra, Vaughan, Aubrey, Christian, Alyssa and Carmelo; and his stepsister Mary of Charles City, VA.. He is also survived by 8 Great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Macedonia Baptist Church (608 N 7th St, Abilene, TX 79601). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Elmwood Memorial Cemetery (5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606).
