She was predeceased by: her parents, George Wainscott and Ruby Wainscott (Cantrell); her stepmother Maggie; and her siblings, Mary Ellen, Thomas, Weldon, Wayne, Nathan and Jimmy.

She is survived by: her sister Gay Nell Peters; her sons, Carl and Stormy; her daughter-in-law Kacey; and her grandchildren, John (Amanda) and Amy Forrest (Brandon). She is also survived by five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
