It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mava Janeece Farris of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her husband James Farris of Abilene, TX; her daughters, Gwendolyn of Abilene, TX, Elizabeth and Allison Farris of Richardson, TX; her sister-in-law Geraldine Johnston of Plainview, TX; her nephew Sidney Johnston; and her nieces, Jacqueline Johnston and Debbie Johnston.
She served with the Adult Literacy Council of Abilene, Texas, and donated her time teaching English as a second language.
