She was predeceased by: her parents, Balentine Carrizales and Ramona Carrizales; her sons, Andy Gutierrez, Max Sosa and Mark Sosa; her siblings, Balentine Carrizales, Jr. and Guadalupe Montoya; and her son-in-law Jose Lara.
She is survived by: her children, Guadalupe Gutierrez (Lenora), Virginia Lara, Alicia Sosa, Josephina Davis (Thomas), Annette Sosa (Roy Lerma), Johnny Sosa (Andrea) and Jessie Munoz, Jr.. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
