With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kay McDaniel (Abilene, Texas), who passed away on December 24, 2024 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Kay has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Aylette Hodges III and Jackie Smith Hodges. She is survived by: her husband Roy McDaniel; her sister Patty Gibson (Ed) of Kerrville; her children, Rhonda Graves (Tim) and Kevin (Wendi Hancock); and her grandchildren, Austin Graves (Kendra), Rachel Graves and Jacob McDaniel (Bre). She is also survived by great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Funeral Home Chapel (5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606).

Charitable contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association.
