He was predeceased by: his father Jimmy Dean McCoy; and his son Jimmy Todd McCoy, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Kathy McCoy of Abilene, Texas; his sons, Dylan of Lubbock, Texas and Trevor McCoy of Lubbock, Texas; his mother Barbara Ellen McCoy (Sis) of Yukon, Oklahoma; and his brothers, Scott McCoy (Renee) of Yukon, OK, Wade McCoy (Sarah) of Edmond, OK and Chad McCoy (Nicole) of Edmond, OK.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Association of Frontotemporal Degeneration or The Legion Building in Reydon, Oklahoma.
