She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Benge and Orville Benge. She is survived by: her husband Reggie Self of Abilene; her children, James Dempsey of Abilene, Bradley Dempsey of Abilene, Julie Briscoe (Brice) and Christy McMillion (Bobby) of Cabot, Arkansas; and her sisters, Sharon Herring of Seven Springs and Joyce Copeland of Fairbanks, Alaska. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Hamil Family Funeral Home (6449 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene, TX 79606). A burial will be held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:20 PM at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery (7457 W Lake Rd, Abilene, TX 79601).
