Jean Pirtle Whitworth Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean Pirtle Whitworth of Abilene, Texas, born in Joplin, Missouri, who passed away on September 22, 2023 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Pirtle and Curtis Pirtle; her husband Norman Whitworth; her sister Ann; and her grandson Tanner Whitworth.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Stovall (Daniel), Tamra Cotton (Mike) and Van Whitworth (Marie); her grandchildren, Kara Cotton (Kyle), Bethany McGee (Brycen), Andrew Stovall (Hannah), Hannah Whitworth, Hailey Whitworth and Abby Stovall; her great grandchildren, Chloe, Brayden, Kaid, Christian, Harper, Carson and Madilynn; her sister Kay Tollison (Danny); and her sister-in-law Evonne Whitworth. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Alpha Omega Hospice or Elmcrest Baptist Church in Jean's honor.
