He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Thompson and Esther Thompson. He is survived by: his son Jeffrie Alan Thompson; his brother Bob Thompson; his siblings-in-law, Betty Herring and Rick Herring (Marilyn); and his nephew-in-law Mark Rogers. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and countless children who considered him a grandfather.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home Chapel (5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel (5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606).
