He was predeceased by: his parents, Herb Patterson, Jr. and Jo Patterson; his stepmother Billie; and his siblings, Bobby Patterson and Pat Black.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his children, Brent Patterson (Lauren), Christie Bird (Les) and Cathy Suarez (Steve); his grandchildren, Jared, Lauren (McKinnon), Amber (Ethan), Jacie, Grace, Ashlynn, Brayden, Thomas and Sara; his great grandchildren, Leighton, Nolen and Callum; his sister Donna; and his brother-in-law Jack.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to his favorite charity Kairos of Abilene or Freedom Fellowship church.
