He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lewis Carpenter and Lucille Carpenter; his wife Sharon Carpenter; his children, Christopher Don Carpenter and Laura A. Carpenter of Odessa; his grandchildren, Alexander Carpenter, Stephanie Carpenter Forester, Charlotte Carpenter, Emily and Elizabeth Carpenter; and his great grandchild Penelope Forester.
Instead of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Henricks Hospice of Abilene, whose care and compassion made his last days easier on the family.
