It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Thomas Prew of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on August 1, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Prew and Thelma Prew (Donnelly); his brothers, Pat, James and Robert Prew; his grandson Cody Pentecost; and his sisters-in-law, Colleen, Brenda and Melba Prew.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Prew of Abilene; his children, Raymond Prew (Cindy) of Austin, Wade Prew of Elgin, Doug Prew (Kelly) of Lexington, Michael Prew of Bastrop and Debbie Pentecost (Coy) of Abilene; his siblings, Donald Prew of Buffalo Gap and Sissy Miller (Donald) of Clyde; his siblings-in-law, Melinda Prew of Eula and Shelbern Perry of Midland; his grandchildren, Jarren Prew, Morgan Meyers (Trevor), Mandie Fritsche (Andrew), Kassie Prew, Stephanie Prew, Joshua Prew and Daniel Moore (Ashley); and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Hadley, Cami, Audrey, Casen, Paisley, Kaden, Emma, Charlotte and Carter Knox. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
