He was predeceased by: his parents, Eufemia Gomez and Gregorio Garcia; his sons, Sammie Hernandez Garcia, Frankie Hernandez Garcia and Daniel F. Flores; and his siblings, Virginia Herrera, Gregoria Moreno, Celia Barrera and Carlos Garcia.
He is survived by: his wife Margarita Santana Garcia of Chihuahua, Mexico.; his children, Maryjane Garcia of Dumas, Texas and Andy Garcia of Dumas; his stepdaughter Brenda Santana Taboada of Chihuahua, Mexico; his grandson Albert Santana of Abilene; and his siblings, Gloria Garcia of Abilene, Easter Valdez of Presidio, Maria Garcia of Odessa and Gregory Gomez Garcia, Jr.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
