She was predeceased by: her parents, Harmon Whitus and Clarice Whitus; her husband Jack Pruett; and her brother Daniel Lee Whitus. She is survived by: her children, Laquada Dorsett, Rick Northcutt (Julie), Barbara Haynes and Art Northcutt; her stepchildren, Jay Pruett and Bobbie Pruett; her grandchildren, Jimmy, Lana and Shannon; and her sisters, Maudine Thackerson (Howard), Irene Turner, Joyce Whitus, Betty Whitus, Shirley Beeks, Madie Criswell, Brenda Gotch, Laura Ann Whitus and Linda Whitus. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other family members.
