With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Esther Cortez of Abilene, Texas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Esther left this world on December 19, 2024 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Though Esther may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Martinez and Florencio Vera; her husband Francisco Cortez Jr.; and her sisters, Eloisa Rodriguez, Rachel Trevino and Isabel Vera.
She is survived by: her children, Frank Cortez III (Christy), Florencio Cortez (Rebecca), Isabella Martinez (Rufus Jr.) and Lupe Cortez; and her goddaughter Angelica Carrillo.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the True Light Global Ministries (1164 Minter Ln, Abilene, TX 79603).
