She was predeceased by: her husband AC Nelson; her daughter Angela Nelson; and her sister Betty Sue Humphrey. She is survived by: her brothers, Rupert Cornahan and James Cornahan; her children, Sally Miller, Donnie Nelson (Ronda) and Johnny Paul Nelson (Dawn); and her grandchildren, Cori, Chad, Michael, Nicole, Donald, Brittany, Amanda, Andrew and Abigail. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home Chapel (5750 US-277, Abilene, TX 79606). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
