He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignacio Jr. Hernández and Jovita Hernández; his wife Dolores Hernández; his daughter Linda Montéz; and his sister Millie Flores.
He is survived by: his children, Angelica Hernandez (Savanah), Renee Hernandez-Ramirez (Francisco), Tiffany Delagarza, Rufus D. Silva III and Mickey Garcia; his grandchildren, Jocelyn Ramirez, Daniella Hernandez, Reyna Gonzalez, Marisia Gonzalez, Troy Castro, Pete Leonard Delagraza, Olga Silva, Liliya Silva, Ivan Rivera, Evangelina Rivera, ArihElle Rivera, Katelyn Garcia, Delaney Deleon and Asalia Deleon; and his siblings, Janie Hernández, Elias Hernández, Mary Campos, Dora Martínez, Isabel Hernández Sr., David Hernández, Sandra Pennywell, Sandy Adkinson, Alice Hernández, Jovita Ramírez, Ignacio Hernández III and Raymond Hernández. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Elmwood Funeral Home Chapel (5750 US-277 S, Del Rio, TX 78840). A rosary was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Vincent Catholic Church (2525 Westview Dr, Abilene, TX 79603).
