With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol Newberry of Abilene, Texas, born in Fort Worth, Texas, who passed away on December 18, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Austin and Katie Austin; her pets, Scout and Gus; her husbands, John Howle and Newt Newberry; her sister Martha Jane Gafford (Denny); and her nephew Frank Cockrell.
She is survived by: her former husband Gregory Peck; her children, Rebecca Howle McMurray, John Howle (Deborah), Michael Howle (Sonja) and Tanna Finley (Neil); her grandchildren, Zan Howle, Lindsey Dwyer, Jonathan Howle, Haley Howle, Kathryn Hoelscher, Lauren Doan, Mallory Finley and Nathaniel Finley; her nieces, Jana and Casey; her nephew Gerry; and her caregivers, Jerry Mosher, John Hills and Becky Childers. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
