It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Cook of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on October 14, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Winnie Summy Cook and Carl Cook; his wife Flo Bell Cook; his sister Peggy Cook Cutsinger; his brother-in-law George Cutsinger; and his niece Susan Blake.
He is survived by: his great-niece Traci Kaindl of Carrollton, TX; his great-nephews, George Gauglitz of Cape Coral and Rod Blake (Chandler) of Castle Rock, CO.; his nieces, Anne Cotton DeGrasse of Riverhead, NY, Joan Cabaniss of Taylor, TX, Jane Thompson of Sherman, TX and Diane McGill of LaGrange, TX.; his goddaughter Carla Dickie (David) of Keller, TX; and his friends, Ron and Alice Hale of Lawn, TX..
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Piersall Funeral Directors (733 Butternut St, Abilene, TX 79602). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fairview Cemetery (1059 Toby, Gainesville, TX 76240).
