It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Betty Shults of Abilene, Texas, born in Pratt, Kansas, who passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wesley Caradine and Thelma Curry Tickner; her husband Doug Shults; her son Pete; and her sisters, LaVerne Mauldin and Allie Spurgeon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Libby Connally (Eddie) and Anne Wamba; her grandsons, Chuck Connally (Amy), Jason Wamba (Shelly) and Chris Connally; her great grandchildren, Kent Lauren (Sean), Tamara Wohlers (Taylor), Hunter Wamba (Hannah), Cassidy Wamba and B. J. Anderson; and also A. C.. She is also survived by five great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Betty's honor to Harmony Baptist Church, 4921 E. Highway 84, Gatesville, TX 76528.
