With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Amelia G. Rodriguez of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on December 13, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Amelia's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Amelia has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Francisco Garcia and Manuela Garcia; her siblings, Juan Garcia, Maria of Jesus Garza and Josefa Hernandez; and her husband Ruben Q. Rodriguez. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Piersall Funeral Directors (733 Butternut St, Abilene, TX 79602). A rosary was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Vincent Pallotti Catholic Church (2525 Westview Drive 21704). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Abilene City Cemetery (1133 Cottonwood St, Abilene, TX 79604).
