He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert August Schoppa and Hulda Alvina Teinert Schoppa; and his siblings, Janice Laverne Schoppa, Janette Lavon Schoppa, Lillie Mae Schoppa, Mary Frances Bredy (Otto) and Herbert Schoppa (Ethel Jane).
He is survived by: his wife Sallee Parish Schoppa; and his sister Dorothy Mae Buchhorn (Melvin).
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM at the Hamil Family Funeral Home (6449 Buffalo Gap Rd, Abilene, TX 79606). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (2801 Antilley Rd, Abilene, TX 79606). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Holliday Cemetery (611 E Olive St, Holliday, TX 76366).
Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church Debt-Reduction Fund, or a favorite charity.
