Jay Youngblood Obituary
Jay Vee "Two Feathers" Youngblood, 63, of Abernathy, passed away Thursday night. He was born in Plainview on October 25, 1957, to the late J. D. Youngblood and Rosa (Baker) Hanvey. Jay owned and operated Two Feathers Construction for many years, before retiring in 2004. He loved to sing, play Santa Claus, and play Farkle. He was a creative artist at woodworking, loved to help and mentor others, being a people person and was very family oriented.
He enjoyed working the lemonade stand at church. He was a member of Refuge Church in Lubbock. Survivors include one daughter, Kattie Stiggers and her husband Jon of Lubbock; one son, Eric Youngblood of Lubbock; five sisters, Barbara Cromeans and Susan Lovejoy of Atlanta TX, Cheryl Murry and Rose Lovell of Plainview and Vickie Porter; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Marie Peterson and Bessie Jones. Services for Two Feathers will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 10, 2021 at First Church of the Nazarene. In memory of Mr. Youngblood, the family suggests memorial donations in his memory be made to Refuge Church, 4308 58th Street, Lubbock TX 79413.
