He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pavelka and Albina Pavelka (Kocian). He is survived by: his wife Reta Pavelka of Abbott; his children, Becky Willis of Abbott and John Pavelka Jr. of Whitney; his siblings, Rudolph Pavelka (Nolene), Raymond Pavelka (Betty), Billy Pavelka (Doris), David Pavelka (Jeanette), Frankie Pavelka (Mary) and Evelyn Gonce (Wilburn); his brother-in-law Kenneth Wells; his grandchildren, Jeff Butcher (Paige), Josh Butcher, Brittany Rhoudes, Jacob Pavelka, Jared Pavelka, Julia Pavelka, Joey Pavelka and Jaycee Pavelka; and his great grandchild Hunter Butcher. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abbott Volunteer Fire Department or the Hillsboro Boys and Girls Club.
