It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Makovy Jr. of Abbott, Texas, born in Waco, Texas, who passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Makovy (Bezdek) and Edward Makovy Sr.; and his sister Evelyn Barton (Makovy). He is survived by: his wife Patsy Makovy of Abbott; his sister Donna Hawkins (Jack); his sister-in-law Shirley Blanchard (Jerry Dunn); his nephews, Josh Hawkins (Jessica) and Shane Hawkins (Trina); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jase, Jocelyn, Halle, Heidi and Zane Hawkins; and his cousin Beverly Pustejovsky (Tony). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Building Fund or to Hill County Paw Pals.
